Yes, it does.
You can:
Skip the "Add New Hair" function in the Hair Manager panel; Instead, manually add a particle system from Blender’s object properties.
The add-on will automatically detect and work with it.
We continue supporting particle hair because it is still the most stable solution for hair physics simulation.
This is a known issue with Blender’s new Curve Hair system. Common causes include:
Some controllers (e.g. Children settings) do not apply consistently across objects—possibly related to whether the scene was created in Blender 3.x or 4.x.
Overlapping curves in the same object can cause interpolation errors.
Recommendations:
Check for overlapping curves;
Save your project as a new file and re-import assets;
Or re-groom the hair into a clean new collection.
Yes, we’ve added simulation modules for the new system. Blender’s Geometry Node hair (Curves) now supports Hair Dynamics.
However, if your project relies on stable physics or animation features, we still recommend using the Particle Hair system.
This often results from accidentally modified or corrupted node groups. Try:
Deleting and recreating the curve hair object;
Clicking the “Reset” button for the add-on to restore defaults;
If the issue persists, send us your .blend file for further troubleshooting.
