This is usually a performance issue triggered by complex scene settings. Try:
Saving the project as a new file before brushing;
Disabling children display during grooming for better performance;
If the issue only occurs in one project, feel free to send us the file for analysis.
For particle hair: Increase the “Distance” of the brush to reduce intersecting;
For curve hair: Use the built-in “Puff” brush of the add-on to pull hair out of the mesh;
If the problem is widespread, refer to the video tutorial on using nodes to solve this:
📺 Guide to Fix Intersecting
Currently, the add-on does not include:
A "Cut Brush" tool;
You can simulate cutting by using the Shrink Brush or deleting and regenerating hairs. Your feature suggestion of drawing path are valuable—we’ve added them to our roadmap.
If brushes don’t respond:
Ensure the correct object with a hair system is selected;
Check that the brush is applied to the right hair layer;
Confirm your Blender version is compatible;
If there are too many children hairs, reduce viewport load before editing.
